We had breakfast and coffee out at a local restaurant. I'm definitely making this when I'm back home, it was a deconstructed bubble and squeak cake.
We caught the bus to Palm Cove beach, which was around 40 mins away.
When we got there we were surprised by how choppy and dirty the water was. We found out that there was a lot of debris in the water from the cyclone.
After a day relaxing on the beach soaking up the sun, we grabbed a cocktail at the Vivo bar on the front. I choose a mango and coconut cocktail!
We walked to the bus stop at the top of the hill, took the bus to Cairns and arrived back at the apartment by around 5.
We got ready to go out for the evening, as the receptionist had recommended a bar to dine at next to the lagoon.
We dined at the Salt Rock bar this evening. It had the prettiest setting on the water front!
I choose the Tasmanian Salmon, with a warm fennel, watercress, rocket, and orange salad. Lau choose a spatchcock chicken with crispy Brussels sprouts in a mint dressing.
For dessert Lau had a sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch ice cream and I had meringue with cream and strawberry sorbet.
All the food was stunning and beautifully presented!
We then sat down on the super comfy sofa seats and had a glass of wine.
